Dead fish on my conscience
My kid’s fish is dead. I woke up this morning, came into my office and noticed that the fish was floating weird. I swirled the bowl around, normally the fish would flip his fin. Nothing. The eyes are all glassy and bugged. And he is just laying there. I wonder what happened.
I noticed about a week ago that he was really lethargic. Granted, he is a Beta so he doesn’t move much, but he was just barely waving his fin. I thought maybe he was cold, so I moved him into my office. He immediately started swimming around, warm and happy.
Thank god my kid doesn’t really care about the fish. I don’t know how to explain to a 2 year old that fishy went to the big fish bowl in the sky. I have to dispose of the evidence now. I don’t think I will get another Beta. I have not luck with reptiles or fish.
