Twin Sale

A couple of weeks ago, I went to the Twin Sale. It’s this yard sale put on by the moms in this Twins club. Some interesting stuff. I bought a toy for my daughter. There is this lady there that sells all Gymboree and OshKosh clothes. Her kids only wear the best. not like my Old Navy kid.

I am still wrestling with how I feel about my daughter in used clothes. I am so afraid of bad karma attached to used items. I was reading this Feng Shui book that talked about how you had to be careful with antiques. Who knew what kind of history they have.

Golden Dragon – Dinner

We finally got around to trying the Golden Dragon for dinner. All I can say is stick to the Dim Sum there.

First of all, it took forever for our dinner to arrive. Almost an hour. My daughter was on the verge of a melt down. They just were not prepared for the number of customers I guess.

When the food arrived, the only thing that was good was the clams with black bean sauce. The rest of the stuff was very white. I ordered the salt and pepper pork chops. The coating was too thick. The taste was good though. The rest of the stuff was not memorable, so I have forgotten what we ate.

Ogie’s

The best breakfast in town. Ogie’s is at Redwood Rd and 3500 S. I don’t know what it is. Maybe they drench everything in butter. I could tell with the first bite that my arteries were clogging, but could not resist it.

I ordered the regular breakfast. It had a little of everything. Eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, and toast. My husband got the Huervos Rancheros, his litmus test. And he loved it.

The atmosphere is blue collar. Not some fancy or trendy place. It’s next to this Polynesian market that has all manner of weird stuff.
