Reps Reflecting Subscribers
We are moving in two weeks and there is a SO much to do. One thing is changing the addresses for all my magazine subscriptions. I just got off the phone with Yoga Journal and noticed a marked difference between that rep and the one from Business Week. The Business Week rep was terse and snapped at me when I followed Salt Lake City with Utah too quickly. But the one from Yoga Journal was so much nicer. She wrote “Canon” when it should have been “Canyon” in the address and when I corrected her, she was pleasant and laughed. She said she had dropped the “Y” somewhere. I can’t even imagine how the Business Week rep would have reacted.
I wonder if the reps are supposed to reflect the magazine subscribers. Are business people more terse, process oriented? Step 1, Step 2, I’m not ready for the state yet. While yoga practitioners are more supple, realizing that not being ready for the state is no problem, we will get to it when we do.
Truth is, they are probably both working in the same call center and may even share a cubicle wall. I am moving onto the Economist next. We’ll see how that rep is…Just got off the phone with the Economist. Didn’t even need the state. However, this one wanted to know if I wanted to renew my subscription. Hmmm. Only one who did so. Would have thought that at least Business Week would have asked.
